Director/Cinematographer Rex Miller is a visual storyteller with an extensive background as a photographer/filmmaker, having started originally as a photojournalist in N.Y.C, after growing up there on the blue collar streets of Astoria, Queens.

As DP he has been part of 5 Peabody-Award-Winning projects, an Oscar shortlisted film, multiple Emmy wins and nominations, and has been twice nominated for an Emmy for Cinematography.

As director, his Film/TV credits include: HBO, Netflix, Amazon, Apple TV, ESPN, Hulu, American Masters/PBS, American Experience, Starz, and at Sundance, Telluride, Tribeca, Venice, SXSW, DOCNYC, SLAMDANCE, BFI London Film Festival, etc.

As a Photojournalist, his images appeared in dozens of national and international publications, including The New York Times, Time, Newsweek, Rolling Stone, Spin, Forbes, Fortune, etc. Rex made over 30 trips to the Mississippi Delta in the 80s/90s, documenting traditions around African-American Music and life. He completed the book/CD Delta Blues: Music and Life in Mississippi.

Miller identifies as multiracial. His brown-skinned mother emigrated to NYC from Jamaica, West Indies. He is of Portuguese, African, European/Caucasian and Jewish descent. Ancestry.com analyzed his DNA /ancestry as 80% White/European and 20% African.

ERIC MOFFORD, LINE PRODUCER

Eric Mofford is a creative producer, line producer and director. He has been involved in over 150 film, television and commercial productions. He has overseen Emmy nominated projects for NOVA, PBS, Nat Geo, Animal Planet, Discovery Channel, Smithsonian Channel, NBC Sports and Comedy Central. He served as Head of Production at three different production companies. Mofford, a member of the DGA, has also written and directed award-winning shorts, documentaries, commercials, and music videos. He has sold two feature film screenplays and has various projects in development. He has done schedules and budgets for both studios and small indies and has shared that knowledge teaching numerous media workshops, both in the United States and internationally.

BREE VON BRADSKY, EDITOR

Bree von Bradsky (they/she) is a film editor and educator based in Durham, North Carolina. Their documentary feature The Gobi Gallop won Best Film for a Cause at the EQUUS International Film Festival. They hold an MFA in Experimental and Documentary Arts from Duke University and serve as a Visiting Artist teaching film production at UNC Chapel Hill. A 2021 Flaherty Seminar Fellow, they are also a part-owner of CineBus, a Durham microcinema, and a screener for the Cosmic Rays Film Festival.

RICHARD O’CONNOR, MOTION GRAPHICS

Richard O’Connor began his animation career in 1994 at New York's legendary studio, The Ink Tank. Since then he has contributed to dozens of documentary and feature productions, directed over 100 short films, screened from Sundance to Rotterdam and learned how to drive a car. He has taught production, history and theory at RISD, NYU, Pratt and Montclair State University and is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

MADISON HILL, CINEMATOGRAPHER

Madison Hill is a filmmaker based out of Durham, NC. In 2023, she received her M.F.A. in Experimental and Documentary Arts from Duke University. Madison's work has screened nationally on PBS and at festivals including St. Louis International Film Festival, Charlotte Film Festival, and Thin Line Fest.
